This approach is the result of over 10 years of research and development and years of dedicated work towards more authenticity in the world of sweets.
It reflects our philosophy of authentic chocolate enjoyment: authenticity instead of over-flavouring, as well as a responsibility for transparency and indulgence.
That’s why we speak clearly and confidently of “no added flavours”* – not as a marketing claim, but as a conscious decision and a clear quality promise.

Roasted. Crunchy.
Full of character.
We use carefully selected whole hazelnuts for our Whole Hazelnut bars – mainly sourced from Turkey and complemented by some further origins. Our Turkish hazelnuts are stored cool right at their origin to preserve their natural freshness and quality, then cracked and roasted locally until golden brown for that unmistakable crunch and nutty taste. Each 100 g Whole Hazelnuts bar holds around 25 nuts. Full nut pleasure, square by square. And just so you know: almonds, cashews and peanuts in our range are held to the same high-quality standard. Quality you can hear and taste.

Almonds. Finely ground. .
We use sweet, sun-ripened almonds – mainly from California, complemented by a small proportion (6%) of Moroccan bitter almonds – which are roasted locally to bring out their full, delicate flavour. Finely ground into our smooth, premium marzipan, they create that unmistakably rich taste Ritter Sport Marzipan is known for. Our 100% Fine Marzipan stands for quality: with a high almond content and a balanced sweetness that bring out the almond’s natural character and full indulgence.

MORE ABOUT OUR PRALINE
Hazelnut. Smooth at heart.
We use roasted hazelnuts – mainly from Turkey – processed locally into a pure hazelnut paste without any added oils or fats. At RITTER SPORT, this paste is blended with cocoa mass and cocoa butter (no palm oil) to create our smooth nougat filling. Each praline bar contains 42% nougat filling – crafted to the original RITTER SPORT recipe and made without any added vegetable fats such as palm oil. Creamy 100% fine praline in its truest form – smooth, nutty and unmistakable.

Real Jamaican spirit. Squared.
Our sun-ripened and dried Californian grapes soak for around 20 hours in original Jamaican rum, letting the flavour go deep into the fruit before they meet milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. It’s this care – and a recipe that’s stayed true since 1964 – that make this classic (Rum Raisins Hazelnuts) a true taste of the Caribbean. No liquid centre, only rum-soaked sultanas.

We choose sun-ripened and dried California grapes for their naturally fruity, sweet taste. Only those sultanas that meet our standards make it into our chocolate. They also shine in our classics from Raisins Hazelnuts to Rum Raisins Hazelnuts, where their balanced fruitiness meets crunchy hazelnut pieces coated in milk chocolate.
