“May contain traces of…” This sentence, whether it is finished with nuts, milk etc., is on nearly every chocolate wrapper. It is advice that is voluntarily provided by RITTER SPORT. For years, we have let our customers know of any possible traces of potentially allergenic substances in our chocolate.

It means that we cannot 100% exclude the possibility that the substances mentioned might be contained in quantities that could affect allergy sufferers. In chocolate production, different varieties of chocolate often go through the same production machinery. Due to technical circumstances, we simply cannot, despite huge efforts, exclude the possibility that perhaps the smallest quantities of nuts, milk, or other ingredients still remain.

Because we want you to be able to enjoy our RITTER SPORT squares without worry, we would rather be too careful and make sure that absolutely no one comes to harm.
