Ramazzotti – So delicious it makes you want to sing with joy.
This is not an Italian singer, but a very special Italian herb liqueur (Amaro). It is one of the most well known liqueurs in Germany.
Its secret recipe was developed in 1815 by its namesake Ausano Ramazzotti. He wanted to make a particularly mild herb liqueur.
The recipe includes 33 different aromatic herbs and plants. You need, among other things, rhubarb, oregano, cinnamon, china bark, gentian, bitter orange from Curacao, and orange. It contains 30% vol. alcohol and is produced without artificial colourings or flavourings.
It is drunk as a digestive or a bitter and is usually served with ice and a small slice of lemon.
The newest trend, however, comes from Waldenbuch. Here, we like to enjoy it one piece at a time in RITTER SPORT Ramazzotti Truffles. No ice, no glass, but with a tidy portion of Creamy Milk Chocolate 40% Cocoa.
