Further information:
Citric acid is an important organic acid in fruit, human, and animal metabolic processes. It is usually made microbiologically. However, every now and then, it is also made from lemons.
Citric acid consists of colourless crystals and has a very sour taste. It is used, for example, to apply the final touches to the sour twang in the fillings of our RITTER SPORT summer varieties.
