The word cappuccino derives from the Austrian, Kapuziner, (Capuchin friars). The brown of their cloaks resembles the colour of a perfect cappuccino. In Austria, you call a normal coffee with whipped cream a “Kapuziner”. The Italians based their cappuccino on this concept. They replaced the whipped cream with milk and steamed milk and result was a coffee drink that has been very popular in Germany since the 1980s.

The Italian version consists of one third espresso (made with double the usual amount of water), one third hot milk, and one third steamed milk. In some coffee bars the cappuccino’s milk foam is also decorated with cocoa powder.

RITTER SPORT Cappucino unites a rich, milk cream filling with freshly roasted coffee powder. This combination results in cappuccino pleasure that is almost like it’s out of a cup. But with RITTER SPORT the cappuccino is in a delicious milk chocolate shell. The perfect cappuccino for when you’re on the go.
