The world isn’t only made of chocolate. That’s why it has always been a fundamental value of our company to look beyond the end of our own nose, to operate sustainably, and to be socially involved. Our efforts to expand work alongside our primary goal of protecting natural resources.
A good example is our own, highly efficient combined heating and power station in Waldenbuch (more about that in Ecology). But we are also committed on the other side of the globe. In Nicaragua we are for the protection of the tropical rain forests and better living conditions of small cocoa farmers. CACAONICA is the name of the Waslala cocoa-farming partnership project that we initiated in 1990. (see Cacaonica).

In addition to our ecological projects we, of course, care about our employees needs. Whether it’s an executive who’s been with us for years, or an apprentice, we want everyone who works for us to feel happy and content and be supported as best as possible.
And last but not least, we would like to draw attention to our commitment to supporting the arts: Above all, the work of young artists is close to our hearts.
It would give us great pleasure if you share our enthusiasm not only for cocoa and chocolate, but also for our diverse commitments.
